Freedom's pediatric division designs, fits, and manufactures orthotics and prosthetics for children, from infants to young adults.
Prosthetics and orthotics provide the support children need to meet their full potential and pursue their dreams, whether that’s running in a race, throwing a baseball, or just keeping up with their friends.
We understand children’s unique requirements with their growing bodies and how their needs change and evolve as they get older.
The relationship between our staff, the treatment team, and the child and family allows us to work together to evaluate a child’s needs and abilities. We then gather our experienced, certified, and licensed orthotists and prosthetists who create a
custom device that is the most effective and least restrictive for a child.
We support children with a range of genetic and acquired pediatric conditions and
provide a full range of orthotic and prosthetic services, including lower extremity
prosthetic care, bracing, and pediatric orthotic services.
We also provide cranial remolding helmets for the treatment of plagiocephaly. We also complete device fittings and adjustments, as well as minor repairs, and emergency fabrications when needed.
A visit to Freedom is more than measurements and mechanics. It’s about sharing hopes and dreams and providing the product with the fit and function a child
needs at that moment. We’re devoted to designing braces, artificial limbs and adaptive devices and fitting upper and lower limbs with an emphasis on exceptional fit, comfort and appearance. Our goal is to improve function and mobility, reduce pain, and allow children to live life more independently.
We have locations in Houston, TX and Beaumont TX and two Rapid Response Units that can take care of many needs at any medical facility. As an Independent full-service Prosthetic and Orthotic Company established in 2005, we also provide any brand, model, brace, or prosthetic component without limitations of
buying contracts. Our founder and lead practitioner holds the Number 1 license in the
state, awarded in 2018 by the Governor of Texas, and has proudly held it ever since.
